Six legged cat in Florida.

Do you find anything strange with this cat? No?

Look at again carefully under it's belly. It has six legs dear!

Usually I avoid looking at such odd nature. The memory lingers and we have no way to voluntarily erase anything off our memory.

This kitten is named Hex. It was born in Florida, six weeks was born six weeks ago. The extra two legs are protruding from her stomach.

Won't that they get in the way? Oh, poor cat!

But vets say she is likely to die if she does not go under the knife to have the extra limbs removed.

The cause:
The feline was meant to be one of a twin but half of the other cat fused to her in the womb, leaving her with the extra limbs.

May her soul rest in peace!

Are you about to become an heir?

“Lawyers lack sense of humor”- I argued backed up several case studies. I was not offending any particular lawyer but you know, these pointless arguments pop up unobtrusively and the case is always closed without the need for a judge. (Smile)

I remember reading somewhere in the Internet, “Lawyers often think that the jokes are not funny, and non-lawyers fail to understand that they are not jokes”.

In our group of friends, one aspired to be a lawyer and that too she wanted to specialize on inheritance rights just because she felt her family too was a victim in one such prolonged inheritance case.

But she took us all by surprise when she turned to be committed to her profession and started appearing in inheritance cases involving celebrities.

In the course of her glittering career, we met at my house once. We heard several outrageous stories. She then informed us about probate advance. It is a sort of advance cash assistance to the expected beneficiaries of a will and this made her work less stressful because her clients were temporarily relaxed.

IFC Cash is the company that has come up with innovative idea of inheritance cash advance.

Take me please! Don't abandon me.

My mother-in-law- went to Canada 10 years before to visit her daughter whose husband was working as a lecturer in Queen's University, Kingston, Canada.

When she came back, she recounted her experiences and strange sights. We were all particularly amazed to hear about how furniture placed at various places inside the campus carrying note saying, "Please take me".

We could not believe that people will give away such costly furniture for free.

Well, when I saw this photo from Flickr, I believed what my mother-in-law told us 10 years ago.

I feel sad for this sofa. I would put up note on it saying, "Take me please; don't abandon me".

Irisys’s work on pharmaceutical formulations.

Irisys.com is a beautiful web site. The moment I landed on the home page, I liked the header color combination, the background color and the overall simplicity. We rarely come across such web sites.

The subject of the website is also rare; it is dealing with case studies in pharmaceutical formulations, pharmaceutical packaging and product development.

There is something in this web site; the wordings of irisys.com, the layout, creates a feeling in me that they are really committed to what they are doing to the pharmaceutical industry. I may sound illogical but the feeling is true.

My husband showed me an article in Tamil very recently about the pharmaceutical industry’s methods of conducting trials on ‘to be introduced’ formulations. Whatever I read led me to believe that a lot to be done towards pre-formulation trials and those who are actively working in the pharmaceutical industry needs to read as many case studies as possible.

Irisys.com is doing exceptional work in this field and this site could use aggressive exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.

This monitor will solve your problem.

The seminar hall was only half full. In spite of that, the first speaker approached up podium with the hope that the participants will arrive in due course. I guessed she was fully aware of the Indian punctuality.

I was invited as a guest speaker on the occupational hazards of women teachers. It was amusing-the topic I mean; are men immune to such things?

But I kept the amusement to myself; I dared not share it lest I might not be invited again and that would mean loss of revenue!

When my turn came, I started saying that this is the most unsuitable place to discuss occupational hazards because the podium itself could not be adjusted to my height. I asked the organizers to spare a pair of high heeled shoes. Though I received a round of not-so-hearty laughter, I thought I drove my point.

Without wasting further time, I plunged enthusiastically on the subject of computer ergonomics and what are all the areas that required immediate attention.

I took with me a few images of monitor arms and showed it on the giant screen. The monitor arm that I showed (see picture) has lift-and-pivot technology which allows the user to effortlessly position the height of the monitor without handles or tools.

A smarty shot me a question: “Hi mom’, what about the cables? Where are they?”

I told him that the cables are guided along the underside of the arm for a clutter-free work area.

When I had finished, I could hear a murmur that they expected me to speak about ergonomically designed computer furniture like everybody.

But ergonomics is not only about that!

Excellent designer plumbing materials.

I was in a very happy mood and that became contagious as the entire family was happy and talkative.

The happy mood-isn't that amazing when it makes a recluse talk like a frog!

The reason for my happiness was the appearance of the bathroom in the hotel we checked in. The town itself is not a big one; a rather dusty pilgrimage place.

The exterior of the hotel won't attract appreciation and preference among travelers. But the bathroom was stunning, fitted with gleaming chrome finished delta bathroom faucets.

Initially, I fumbled a bit to get the faucet going because it looked so hi-tech. My son came to my rescue as if he has been living among such beautiful bathroom and kitchen faucets. Then he confided in me that he has delta kitchen faucets in his office canteen.

The Schon bath tub filler was also sleek and new (see picture). Actually, it was the first time I have seen a tub filler. Oh, I realize that I belong to another generation.
