Dressed up chocolates for Valentine's day.

It is perfectly alright if you ask your girl friend to meet you in a specific dress. The dress might have been the one you bought for her on earlier occasion or you simply like a particular color.

But, in response, what will you do if your valentine asks you to dress up the chocolates you usually give properly as she didn't like the naked chocolates you gave her for the previous Valentine's day?

You would be bemused but don't show that in front of your sweetheart. You better be prepared. The image shown here is a Belgium chocolate from Leonidas Belgian.

At a special offer from Amazon, you can buy this 30 pieces of assorted milk, dark and white chocolate in a heart shaped box with red velvet lid.

Obesity is caused by an infection.

If obesity is caused by an infection, then, a major worry for obese people is removed and they can continue to eat to their stomach's content. (just kidding)

But I am not kidding about the latest scientific discovery that says obesity can be caught from a sneeze! "The AD-36 virus makes fat cells multiply leading to over weight." Oh, that means there are fat cells as well as slim cells in our body?

An Indian scientist in the U.S. has warned people that obesity can be caught as easily as a common cold from other people’s coughs, sneezes and dirty hands.

His name is Nikhil Dhurandhar and he is from Pennington Biomedical Research Centre in Louisiana.

Of course the findings are met with natural skepticism. The fat persons may as well hold on to their present diet for some moretime.

He transformed into a goat.

The 'he' is a thief who attempted to steal car with the help of an accomplice. The police started chasing the duo and one managed to escape.

What happened to the other? Was he caught?
Yes, he or rather I should say 'it' was caught. The man transformed himself into a GOAT just when he was about to be apprehended.

The (he) goat was caught of course and was even paraded before of journalists.

The place:
This incident took place in Kwara State, Nigeria.

This is a very hot news that was reported in Yahoo! little than an hour ago. What a strange news!

Perfect solution for cash starved Americans.

I am not the only to have read several newspaper reports that the real estate price in the U.S. is lying flat on the ground and there are no takers for houses that are put up for sale. I read that there are houses that are available for as low as $400 but for that too there are no buyers.

A woman named Traude Daniel in Klagenfurt, Austraia faced the same problem. She could find no buyers for her 4,305 sq ft villa. She hit upon a bright idea. She decided raffle it off.

She sold 9,999 raffle tickets priced at $128 each that brought in $1,280,000. Her villa was worth about $10,000,00. The tickets were purchased even from people in America.

Yesterday, the lucky winner of the raffle was picked up and it turned out to be Walter Egger.

Isn't this a real win-win deal?

It is reported that the idea is catching up fast in Europe. Are you listening, Americans?

This is the villa that was won by Walter Egger.

Witch hired to hunt credit card defaulters.

First, there was harassment by telephone.
Next, thugs were engaged to threaten.
Now, a witch is hired to track down credit card defaulters.

Well, I don't blame the credit card issuing banks of their efforts to recover credit card dues. We, the credit card users spent recklessly irrespective of our monthly earnings. Loan was given to us without any security. We should honor our commitment, recession or not.

I read an interesting news about hiring a witch by credit card issuing banks to hunt down defaulters. Vilija Lobaciuviene, the Baltic nation's most famous self-styled witch was hired by a Vilnius-based firm to hunt down companies and individuals who are failing to pay their debts amid the credit crunch.

Now, who is Lobaciuviene?
She is 53 old and she claims to use hypnosis, herbal medicines and "the bio-energy field" as her witchcraft. She is well known in the Soviet where she had provided her magical services many times.

Western doctors turning to third world healing.

After all how long can one keep spending billions of dollars to find new medicines to treat new as well as old diseases? It is reported that Americans alone spend 30 billion dollar a year on medicines. The cost of western medicines is slowly becoming out of reach of even well to do people.

Green medicines practiced by traditional healers have now become favorite of modern doctors. For example, a dangerous disease known as 'schistosomiasis' also known as 'bilharzia' is believed to be caused by a parasitic worm that thrives on water snails.

To kill these water snails, a synthetic chemical was developed but it is very expensive and also, the water snails have become immune to the chemical. But, now, Egyptians have discovered that the leaves of a ragweed contain that chemical that is fatal to to the snails. And this plant thrives near the snails' breeding areas. How convenient!

The U.S. have approved a herb from Guatemala to treat diabetes. Wild Yams are said to contain hydro cortisone that is a medicine to treat severe asthma.

The WHO is encouraging third world countries to develop their own traditional medicines.

Is it so?

Just a second before.

I wish I have this skill and the right camera. Well, the skill I meant is the patience that every photographer should possess. Only they can take photographs as these below.

These photographs were obviously taken at the right time or just a second before the right time. They all are absolutely fantastic and can win any photo exhibition or contest.

What will you do when a ghost visits you?

You obviously run away as far as you could, dropping everything abruptly.

Bodie town from Google Images.

Well many people did so, at least it seemed to be, in a town in Northern California, near Sierra Nevada border.

The town: Bodie
Location: Northern California, a day drive away from San Francisco. It is situated in the mountains, at a height of 2400 meters.

Bodie is called a 'ghost town' because it looks deserted and decay is written all over the place. The decays is arrested, they say.

You can find even today:
A table with poker chips and playing cards
A store with goods on the shelves
School books on a desk

The eerie looking town was once the second largest city in California. It was also the first city to get electricity over long distance cables. (Is it so?)

This ghost town's history is an interesting read. It is very well written by Joe Kissell. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article on itold.com

Willingness to die.

Willingness to die as a martyr is of course a noble attitude. Though soldiers are trained to cultivate this mentality, there may be a semblance of fear. Hey, I am not degrading anyone. I owe my life to them protecting the nation.

There is a particular caste in India called Charan. They live in Rajastan and Gujarat. They are fierce patriots and everyone in the family have this unflinching attitude to sacrifice their life during war time.

During the reign of kings, it was considered essential to have a Charan in their court. Charan caste members are also called as 'Kaviraj' for their love for poetry.

They are also known for the self-immolation for various reasons. One woman named Punai Mata, committed self-immolation just to save a wild hare.

If you happen to read fully about Charan, you will be amazed at their bravery, belief and culture.

Injectible bone heals broken bones very quickly.

This is the best invention in the medical in this century. A technology is developed that heals the broken bone quickly.

I know how very uncomfortable wearing the heavy cast after breaking a bone. I still remember the pian my husband has gone through when his hip bone got fractured. With in a month, he broke his right ankle.
It was a sad sight seeing walking with a crutch.

Bone takes its own sweet time to get back into its original health. Obviously, it doesn't agree with our urgent needs. Oh, those brianless bones!

I heard that an organization called Rogen Tec has developed a product called “Injectable Bone” that may repair the broken bone in minutes. It is waiting for the approval of FDA; might hit the (bones) streets in 18 months.
