Listen to the U.S. Mint.

If by chance, you are still unsure whether to buy gold eagle coins or put your savings elsewhere, you better read what a spokesperson of the U.S. mint said recently.

“The demand for gold and silver has been unprecedented,” a spokesperson for the Mint said.

His views are echoed by the Unites States Gold Bureau also in there latest web release that advices us to invest in gold or silver as there may never be a better time for buying silver bullion than right now because the demand for silver now exceeds annual production all over the world. This is so since 1990!

Do you know that the Americans’ purchase of gold boosted the sales to 710,000 ounces in 2008, from 140,000 ounces a year before? If that were the case in 2008, image what would be the sales figure in 2010.

Let us follow the path of Americans’ wisdom; after all, they decide the fate of economy of the world.

Diapers for brides!

Man, oh sorry, woman, what a thoughtful idea! Diapers for brides!

I wonder why none had not thought of this before! Wedding ceremonies and wedding reception go on for long hours. How do the bride and the groom manage to ignore nature's call for such a long time?

Ah, the wedding gown-I always thought how uncomfortable it can be. With such an inconvenient dress, it will be a mess to go to the rest room with it-right?

There is a solution that is already a hit among women-I mean brides. There is a bridal diaper that saves the brides from the awkward situation.

Read more about this fashion (?) trend that is taking the brides' world by storm.

I am glad Indian women wear less complicated wedding dress.

How did Cleopatra die?

Cleopatra-the name though belong to an era before Jesus Christ, still attracts avid history buffs like my husband who is obsessed with Roman history.

Cleopatra's life lasted just 39 years, from 69 BC to 30 BC. She is said to died in a prison in Rome. Don't you know that she was captured by the might Augustus Caesar who was originally named as Octavian Caesar?

His political ambitions made him a cruel ruler. That is how the historical movies have depicted him. He wanted to whip Cleopatra naked.

In her prison, she came to know about her tormentor's intentions. She somehow managed to get a snake (cobra?) in her prison and allowed it bite her. She died on 12th August in 30 BC.

In fact, it was reported that he was relieved at her death as it made him to focus more on quelling the rebellion of Mark Antony.

Cleopatra, the ruler of the then Egypt gave birth to a son named Caesarion due to her union with Julius Caesar.

She was the last Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. After her death, her son Caesarion ruled the Egypt for a short period before he too died at the hands of Augustus.

Food sculpture.

This is a watermelon fruit that is sculpted professionally like this. What an artistic expression!

I saw this and many other sculpted vegetables yesterday in a marriage. This is the first time I am seeing this art.

When I stood appreciating this piece of exquisite art, I was told that food sculpting is now familiar in all the Hindu marriages.

There were amazing food sculpting using cucumber, pumpkin and cabbage.

Rare fact about gold.

I know I can buy gold eagle coins from United States Gold Bureau but I wanted to know the difference between American gold eagle coins and American Buffalo gold coins.

I have heard about this American sculptor James Earle Fraser who designed the images on American Buffalo gold coins. Since I already possess one American eagle gold coin, I wanted to buy something different this time.

Though I know the United States Gold Bureau is home to a large and dedicated staff of hard asset professionals committed to serving your precious metals, and buying a gold coin from them is safe, I am not yet able to make up my mind.

While I was looking for more information on American Buffalo gold coins, I came across an amazing fact. Do you know that a cube measuring just 20 yards on each side could hold all the gold ever mined?

Why car insurance in California is very high?

I would say most of the people who are moving to California from other states of America or from other countries are shocked when they pay their first car insurance premium. The cost of car insurance is the highest in California.

The reasons for high California car insurance are cited below:

  • More incidents of car accidents than anywhere in the U.S.
  • Increasing car thefts according to National Insurance Crime Bureau
  • A few minimum insurance coverage like body injury and property damage injury and these are high up to $15,000

Due to very high medical cost in California, car owners and car drivers opt for high injury coverage. These issues add up to the California car insurance cost.

However, vehicle insurance companies have started to offer highly competitive rates. Realizing the car owners’ busy life, many web sites went live and offer auto insurance comparison facility with just a click of a button.

The unique feature offered by California Car Insurance is an insurance buyer need not fill out any online form to get auto insurance quotes from all the leading car insurance service providers.

There is Government policy in the state of California that insists on providing a toll free number on the websites of car insurance company. Usually, the operators attending these toll free numbers promptly advise the callers about the discounts offered in vehicle insurance premium.

Do you know Spider woman?

--->Image of Hopi Indians

You though there is only a Spider Man? There was a spider woman who is mentioned in the history of native Indians of Arizona. They were called Hopi Indians. They worshiped a God named Taiowa.

This Taiowa created an assistance to him called Sotuknang. He was entrusted the task of creating the Universe and he obeyed his master by creating Topela-the first world.

All these sounds familiar? I believe the Indians will recall lord Vishnu and lord Brhamma in this context. There are mentions of three words thus created and destroyed because of turmoil among men. Only the fourth world exists now. (Kaliyugam?)

Again, I remember the great 'pralayam' in the Hindu mythology.

Now comes the spider woman who was originally called Koyangwuti-a creation of Sotuknang.

It is Gujarat that is emerging as a model state in India.

According to the latest report of the National Council of Applied Economic Research, the richest city in India is now Surat, ahead of Bangalore and Madras, with an average annual household income of Rs 0.45 million (over $11,000 per year).

The two words that come to my mind immediately when I read 'Gujarat' are diamonds and Ambani.

80 per cent of all diamonds sold anywhere in the world are polished in Surat's 10,000 diamond units.

India's wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance, is Gujarati. According to Forbes he is the world's fifth richest man, worth $43 billion.

The fifth richest city in India is now Ahmadabad, ahead of Bombay and Delhi, - and miles ahead of Calcutta.

Not many know that most of the richest communities in India are Gujaratis that include Parsis, Jains, Memons, Banias, Khojas and Bohras.

This is a good news and should inspire every others state in India: There are 18,048 villages in Gujarat and out of them, 17,940 villages have electricity.

Thirty per cent of India's cotton is grown in Gujarat, 40 per cent of India's art-silk is manufactured in Surat, employing 0.7 million people.

Do you know that 40 per cent of India's pharmacy industry is based in Gujarat?

The two great leaders of the subcontinent, the Mahatma and the Quaid, were both Gujaratis from trading communities. One a Bania, the other a Khoja.
