An elixir to improve memory.

Yesterday, I had a meeting with Mr. R.Subramaniam, Chairman and Managing director of Sterling Resorts.

He has launched another company named Amirtham Foods.

During the meeting, he told me about a novel recipe for a natural food. In fact, he intends to open several outlets in Madras through which he is planning to serve breakfast and lunch packed with organic staples and forgotten grains and pulses that keep anyone healthy and fit.

He told me about this rare recipe for Vallarai keerai which is not very tasty. To make it taste good, he said if you add Palm sugar candy (panangal kandu) to the juice of Vallarai Kerrai, people would love it. Incidentally, even diabetics can consume palm sugar candy in small quantities without seriously shooting up their blood sugar.

Indian Pennywort (vallarai keerai in Tamil) is a herb with several medicinal properties that include:
* Improves memory
* Relieves hyper tension
* Acts as an anti bacterial
* Cures Leprosy
* Good for diabetics
* Used in homemade face creams

The world’s most beautiful gold coin.

The Australian Panda is so cute and more so when I see it on a piece of gold coin. I wonder whether the Australian pride would allow them to engrave on gold bars too as it would make a fantastic addition to rich men’s gold portfolio.

Being a middle class woman, I can only heave an envious sigh whenever I see images of engraved and personalized gold bars. All I could buy so far in my 31 years of career is, just two gold coins from the United States Gold Bureau.

The Australians have fine taste when it comes to designing gold coins. Their Kangaroo gold coin is marvelous. I have also seen pictures of horse, cockerel, lion, dog and rabbit in different sizes of gold and silver coins. In fact, the entire Australian Lunar series gold coins are great to look at.

The blue heron.

The monsoon is active at last over our skies. Yesterday, I was watching the dark clouds dashing against each other from the terrace.

I happen to see a flock of aquatic birds flying southwards. There is nothing unusual about it at this time of the year. But what attracted me was the blue color of the birds.

I was not sure. I have never seen blue colored herons so far. I thought I am imagining.

I looked up in the Internet for blue herons. It is normally spotted in Central America.

Well, welcome to India blue herons.

Insights on your IRA and bullion investment.

In all probability, retirees will realize the wisdom in bullion as an investment if they come to know that they can show their bullion holdings in their IRA (Individual Retirement Account) and 401K.

While many persons invest in precious metals and treat them as their future insurance against the vagaries of paper currency, the majority of the retirees don’t invest in gold and platinum because of their ignorance about the various laws concerning their IRA.

The citizens of the U.S. should be fully educated their IRA and 401K if the Government really cares about its senior citizens.

In this context, I commend the efforts taken by the U.S. Gold Bureau (this is not a Government organization) to educate the Americans about gold investment in relation to their 401K and IRA through a short video clip.

You can see it in Youtube.

Pass it on please. You will be doing a great help to the seniors of your nation.

Fresh idea for kids Halloween costume.

During the Halloween time every year, I used to spend unimaginable hours in the Internet looking for new Halloween costumes for kids.

BTW, why it is Halloween costume and not Halloween dress?

This laborious of task of searching for fresh Halloween dress ideas was thrust on me in the year 2004, when my I accidentally suggested a new Halloween costume for one of my students.

Since then, I have taken up the responsibility of suggesting a new idea for kids' Halloween costume.

Halloween costumes should not be treated as fancy dress. Instead, a Halloween dress should be scary and at the time it should be appealing.

How about this particular kid's Halloween costume? I stumbled on to this in inventorspot.com

Is it a toilet or a medical lab?

Who do you think are the world's best innovators?

If you ask me, I would say 'Japanese' without batting an eyelid. They are the most amazing people and their inventions have no match.

Their latest technological discovery made the entire world sit up.

The Japanese have developed toilet closet that is called as the intelligent toilet. The toilet room itself serves as a medical lab where one's urine is analyzed, weight and BP measured and including the body temperature is recorded.

All this is made possible through an in-built scale on the floor.

What is required for the most captivating smile?

Beautiful teeth of course! What else?

Oh yes, one more thing that is necessary for a charming smile is the willingness to smile.

Every dentist’s office will greet you with beautiful smiles showing a row of perfect teeth and teeth that won’t make anyone never to open the mouth publicly.

Dental Marketing is one area that I feel has undergone a sea of change from banal posters and clichés.

Knowing my love for great web designs, a friend of mine, an English scholar, forwarded me several links to web pages that clearly and explicitly conveyed what it is about.

Surprisingly, all the websites dealt with different areas of dental care that include dental cosmetics, teeth whitening, dental implants and painless dental care. The names and URLs of the dental care related websites are aptly named and carefully chosen.

For example:

  • Mona Lisa Smiles (monalisasmiles.co.uk)
  • Smile Cliniq (smilecliniq.com )

When I saw who designed them, all pointed to Digimaxdental.co.uk who are specialists in designing websites for dentists. I could not find a single flaw in the design of their websites, the navigation, color combination and the important SEO aspect is not compromised while designing.

Ultra clean water. A great green cleaning device.

Even highly developed nations are prone for water born diseases. Man's ability provide 100% pure water through taps continues to face stiff challenges due to discovery of new bacteria.

It is just like computer viruses that are being developed everyday by hackers and anti-virus software developers are perennially busy in finding solutions to delete such viruses.

Recently someone had designed a device that ionizes the tap water to provide 99.9% pure water to lean and drink. Called as active ion ionater, the technology behind this useful device us based on electrolysis and electroporation.

This is an ideal green cleaning solution as no chemical is used whatsoever to kill the bacteria.

Watch a video clip below on how this ionator works.

Is topical application of Accutane, safer?

Who resorts to Accutane lawsuit is a stupid question. Only victims of an oral medication called Accutane that is used to treat severe forms of acne like cystic acne, think of hiring Accutane injury lawyers.

I read that topical application of Accutane is safer than oral doses-is it so?

Some years before, another segment of personal injury lawyers were in great demand. When Mesothelioma proved fatal, hundreds of lawyers across the country rose to meet the demand for legal compensation sought by victims of the deadly disease.

Accutane Injury Lawyers:

Accutane’s side effects though not reported as fatal, caused untold miseries to thousands of people who took it to treat advanced acne disease. They approached highly experienced Accutane injury law firm such as O’ Hanlon, McCollum & Demerath.

Any lawsuit should be the last resort, as sometimes it will cause more stress than the original suffering due to medication.

Breathtaking tree towers in Singapore.

Do you think you can say no to see this beauty in Singapore. I hope not. It is no wonder Singapore is the most sought after tourist destination in the world.

Singapore is a tiny country, just a few hours away from Madras by flight. It's official language is English and the second most spoken language in Singapore is Tamil.

The picture you see below is apart of the spectacular garden project in Singapore. The tree like structures are beautifully illuminated with colorful lights and only solar power is used in them!

The grand garden project is built up on a sprawling 101 hectare space. It is located adjacent to the world famous Beach resort called Marina Bay.

This vertical garden collects solar energy and rain water too.
