Specialist air ambulance service in Florida.

The sound of a siren is scary to anyone. I am no exception. Turning at the direction of the sound and recognizing that it is coming from an ambulance with swirling light always send a chill up my stomach. I used to pray instantly.

Yesterday, when I went to the airport to pick my sister who came from London, I noticed the flight was delayed by a few minutes due to making way for an air ambulance. I sensed my face going dark. The gloom inside the ambulance got into me. I prayed.

There were questions in my mind regarding the safety of lifting patients through medical flights.

  • Is an air ambulance equipped with all the latest life saving gadgets like ECG, Ventilators and other monitoring devices?
  • How about the required blood? Will they have all sorts of blood groups?
  • Is it safe to lift very old patients? How many patients can be accommodated in an air ambulance?
  • Since it is an emergency service, how can they find the specialist team of doctors and paramedical forces to carry a specific case?
  • Are escorts of the patients allowed inside the air ambulance?

These sorts of emergency services need a good amount of exposure so that we all know how to reach them at times of dire need. I intend to compile a list of respected air ambulance service providers and blog it.

I look upon the entire team of air ambulance with much respect.

The most colorful bird in the world.

Well, you might show another colorful bird which you might rate as the most colorful bird in the world. I would gleefully accept it and publish your choice of the bird with due gratitude.

For now, this bird called Violet-backed Starling is absolutely stunning to me. Nature created this best at its best mood. What a visualization!

This is the male bird of the species. The female bird is not all that colorful.
It is mainly found in South African forests where it can feed on insects, bees and butterflies.

Take a look at it again. You will find it difficult to take your eyes off.

Yahoo! got the stick from Mumbaiites.

As a fruit lover and that too a trier who never hesitates to taste new fruits that I have not heard of before, the article in Yahoo! titled, "13 weirdest fruits of Mumbai" naturally attracted me to read it with avid curiosity.

Whenever I go to hill stations, I try every hill fruit that are not available in the plains like Madras.

Well, this article in Yahoo! published about fruits that are strange to the article author named Shaheen Peerbhai. The mention of popular fruits such as Amla and Chikoo as weird fruits among other fruits that definitely new to most of the Indians not living in Bombay, attracted several caustic comments from Mumbaiites. (Don't forget to read the comments please.)

FYI, here are those other fruits that are new to me:

* Chanya Manya bor
* Indian Jujube
* Water Chestnut
* Wood apple (image below)

What is known to you is strange to me-eh?

Al Gore did not invent the Internet?

Hey, do you know who is this and why he is here?
He is here because he is the actual inventor of the Internet and also known as one of the 'fathers of the Internet'

His name is Vinton Cerf and he invented the Internet along with three others namely Lawrence Roberts, Leonard Kleinrock, Robert Kahn.

However, we strongly believe that Al Gore is the inventor of the Internet-right?

Wrong obviously.

But how we were given to understand that Al Gore invented the Internet? Who is responsible for this wrong information?

Imagine how Vinton would have felt whenever he saw Vinton's name instead of his name in the papers as the Inventor of the Internet. Did he lodge a protest? Why Al Gore did not deny the news reports?

Vinton is actually a Computer Engineer. He is credit with several awards including National Medal of Technology.

Incidentally, he had worked for Google as Vice President.

Who gave us gold?

I read in Reader’s Digest long back that once upon a time, the gold miners were paid a bag of rock each week as salary. They were tempted to accept in on the promise that it might contain gold to make them rich over night.

Is it so?

For a passionate bullion investors and people like me who buy gold coins occasionally, this news might come as a shock. Actually, we are all so oblivious about how gold is extracted from the rocks and the earth. How we are expected to know the toils of the real miners who risk their lives to light our lives?

I think even the gold vendors are not so much aware of how gold is mined, purified before minted into shapes of coins and ingots.

Now, with the advent of powerful earthmovers and conveyor belts, the earth containing gold ore is easily excavated and brought up to the surface much quickly.

Custom milk shake machine.

This is what I always wanted. If I let my husband know of this milk shake making machine, he would purchase it without any second thought. He loves milk shakes more than ice creams.

Whenever my husband gets a chance, he would order two different exotic fruit shakes, mix them together unmindful of raised eyebrows and enjoy the the self made milk shake cocktail.

Well, the mixer machine from the house of F'real is quite an innovation. F'real Blender machine features a full-size LCD touch screen that lets consumers tailor their frozen drink to suit their tastes exactly.

Hey, wait!
Do you know that this machine cleans itself?

Most powerful method to manifest desires.

When I entered the world of miracles (yes, in fact, I am still there), I assumed that everyone asks the cosmic force only money and truckloads of bags and bags of paper currency. How naive I was and how I was awaken from my ignorance-again a miracle!

It was a long road that I traveled and what I learnt is the most stunning miracle of my time and I thank my angel for showing me the way to get, just, pluck from the space-anything that I want-be it money, material, or emotion.

The most powerful way to emulate my life is the also the most startlingly simple technique and all it takes is just a few minutes of your time everyday.

VISUALIZATION is the ultimate and guaranteed way of manifesting your desire. Yes I hear you ask, "Is it so?".

It is and it is.

Don't brush aside the word "Visualization" as you might done many times in the past.
Let me tell you one thing and that will surely change the way you have thus far thought about visualization.

"We all think in pictures"-don't we?

An intelligent Christmas gift buyer.

The 1933 Double Eagle, Saint Gaudens' design

Our life is full of surprises without any exception. Only, we don’t recognize them all. Invariably, the few surprises that we identify as miracles are caused by us.

About three years before, I wrote a blog post in one of my blogs about the value of buying gold in small quantities on every occasion such as Christmas, Thanksgiving Day etc.

When we buy gold even in its smallest denominations (1 gram in India), though its weight will never increase, its value will surprise you over the years of its confinement in a lovely gift box.

One West Indian old woman who happened to read that blog post of mine, took the cue in the right spirit and bought her first gold coin from the United States Gold Bureau, home to buy the world’s best and purest gold coins.

The sight of it spurred her to save vigorously and bought gold coins at the every right gold buying opportunity. This will be her 4th Christmas since she first bought her gold coin.

With a genuine note of gratitude, she emailed me yesterday wishing me happy holidays and informed me she just bought her first gold bar after selling all her gold coins.

Want to fly across the coast totally free?

You can call me as the worst travel planner; I will not complain. I confess knock on my friends and relatives’ doors shocking and surprising them literally. Contrary to the predictions of my husband, the spur of the moment vacation will not be all that haywire. In fact, it had always turned out to be a memorable trip.

Though disorganized to the core, I am a very resourceful person. Supported by my gifted memory, I can recall at will, several URLs that are haven to the last minute dealmakers.

If you were also as shrewd as I was, you would be able to save substantial money by following my travel strategies if you would call them as strategies at all. I know how to milk money from travel services sites that offer last minute hotel accommodations, flight tickets and car rentals.

Do you know you can fly across the coast totally free and that too twice in a year if you know how to purchase cheap flight tickets online? I once refused to claim hefty discount on a long distance flight to Canberra and opted for an executive class (sort of) seat.

The internet is full of tips to those who surprise their family with their spur of the moment vacation package. However, you can ask for them from me too if you consider me as a veteran of last minute vacationer.
