Next big thing after IT offers high paying jobs.

Don't immediately conclude that it is the IT industry that pays the highest salary. According to Indian Brand Equity Foundation, the health care industry in India is posed for huge growth that would overtake the IT and push it down in the preferred list of job opportunities.

Can you guess the potential of growth in Indian Health Care industry?
It is expected to be as high $280 billion! Definitely, it is going to be next big thing after IT field.

Specialist jobs:
Apart from medical professionals, there would be big demand for para-medical staff and therapy professionals.

As per the statement of G.Krishnakumar who is an audiologist in Bangalore, employment prospects are also good due to a large number of developments that include the provision of digital hearing aid technology and universal newborn hearing screening.

What you should study?
Aspiring students can take up a B.Sc. course of four-year duration and continue their higher education by opting for a master's in audiology or speech pathology.

Where are the job opportunities for audiologists?

Naturally, Government hospitals are the largest hiring institution apart from private hospitals and specialists clinics.

How much you can earn?

To start with, you can earn Rs 10,000 per month and can reach a monthly salary of Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month.

How teleradiology saved a child in India.

It won’t be an exaggeration when I say that the medical field is the only industry in India that is fully utilizing the Internet to its optimum potential.

Read this dramatic event that saved a sick child from Arunachal Pradesh in India where top notch medical facilities are sparse.

· * A sick child was wheeled in at a hospital in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh,

· * The complaint: Gasping for breath.

· * Call to action: A CT scan

· * Diagnosis: Alas! There was no radiologist available at the hospital to interpret the images

· * Next action: . The scan images were emailed to a Teleradiology reporting center in Bangalore.

· * Observation: A large abscess in the throat that is blocking the child’s airway.

· * Call to action: Emergency surgery

· * Result: The child survived.

See how the Internet was able to break the geographical barriers. Telemedicine and Teleradiology are going to save millions of lives in future.

Why not let us thank the inventors of Internet without which communication between persons would still be travelling in bullock cart.

Villages don’t attract highly qualified doctors for obvious reasons. Therefore, a local doctor can still accurately diagnose and appropriately treat every medical condition without the physical presence of a specialist locally.

Telemedicine is the only field that was readily and widely accepted without any raise eyebrows from traditionalists. This technology advancement saw doctors quickly embrace it for the benefit patients in far slung areas.

Times Of India rightly pointed out an example: A rural primary care practitioner who treats a patient with diabetic retinopathy, for example, can get expert consultation from an opthalmologist at a centre hundreds of miles away.

I would like to quote Dr Arjun Kalyanpur practicing in Bangalore: “Teleradiology is an IT-enabled service, whereby X-Ray, ultrasound, CAT scan, MRI and even PET scan images can be transferred, using broadband connectivity to a distant location for interpretation by specialists.”

Anti-aging foods?

Frequently Yahoo! Publishes articles on how to stay young by eating certain foods. These articles are wonderfully supported by stunning images of food, beautifully young faces and of course by the name Yahoo!

No wonder I join millions that click on the tempting headline or the image of attractively arranged food or the young woman facing it.

That is how it was about 20 days before; the title was “Food that would help you look younger”.

Yes, it would only help you to look younger and not make you younger. Even God won’t do that. He wants us to age naturally and accept the fact too.

Now, let me summarize what Yahoo! said on anti-aging food.

· * Food low in calories and high in nutrition (haven’t everybody says that?)

· * Whole grains

· * Fresh seasonal fruits that are brightly colored in yellow or red.

· * Grains and pulses

Oh, the rest of the article is usual the blah blah; nothing that we all don’t know already.

Nevertheless, that article in Yahoo! Would have been read at least by a few thousands on a conservative estimate?

Why?

Read the first paragraph again.

Economic recession causes dip in fertility.

Can you believe it? Global economic setback is directly proportionate to decrease in birth rates!

The news is, only the developed countries have reported the drop in fertility since 2008. Well, I don't think it applied to my dear old India.

Indians seems to be least bothered about economy of nation as well as their own well economic being. New born babies continue to fill the beds in maternity hospitals totally oblivious (and blissfully too) in India and the so called developing and under-developed countries.

I would say this indicates to people who are spiritually sound refusing to allow external conditions to affect their personal life.
In developed countries, it is said that professional and educated women feared for their financial future if they became pregnant.

Which countries reported decrease in birth rates?
England and Wales were among several European countries to experience this rather unhealthy trend. The United States, Spain and Latvia too experienced a dramatic reversal in birth rates since 2008.

“The young and the childless, for example, are less likely to have children during recessions,” said Tomas Sobotka of the Vienna Institute of Demography in Austria, who led the study.
-Times of India

I am bemused and also saddened by this attitude. It is similar to reactions in Stock Exchanges on every minor mishap in the U.S. and Japan.

Made by squirrel for squirrel.

Hmmm.. what a home! Cozy and safe-eh?

Do you how this squirrel made this home? It ate part of the vegetable and suddenly realized that it can be its perfect home. Nicel way to build a home without engaging skilled labour-right?

I one had several photographs of homes made by birds and animals. I used to view them quite often. They reminded me of the possibilities of mankind.

The squirrel looks definitely healthy.

Airbus unveils transparent airplane!

What you are seeing here is a transparent plane! Imagine flying in such plane especially in the night where you feel like reaching out to the stars above your head.

In fact, you might even encounter an alien, or witness the wonderful shooting star so close by.

This futuristic plane won't be a reality until long before I am dead. Yes, it will be possible only in the year 2050.
