Telepathology has arrived to save the world.

Look where the modern telecommunications technology has brought the world, especially the medical world which was once traveling in a bullock cart as far as transfer and exchange of skill and knowledge were concerned.

While we have dedicated researchers, skilled surgeons and great doctors in all branches of medicine, their knowledge and experience could not be used in places where it is required urgently because, the telecommunication facilities were not used properly and actively in the medical field.

With the advent of telepathology, a major barrier is broken and millions of under privileged patients are going to be benefited.

What is the advantage of telepathology?

Through Telepathology, the transfer of pathological data such as lab results of blood, urine and stool is made possible in alphanumeric or textual form and as images.

Video Microscopy

To achieve this, video microscopy systems between distant locations for the purposes of diagnosis is employed.

There was more to both the above technologies but I could digest only this much of technical information.

Save expired credit cards to help guitarists.

Are you baffled at the headline? Do you think how an expired credit card (debit card too) can be useful to guitarist?

Guitar players use a small plastic chip to strike the chords-right? Well, here is a punching machine that ekes out 3 or 4 guitar picks. Watch the video below the working of this punching machine called Pickmaster Plectrum.

The source at Inventor Spot says, apart from expired credit or debit cards, the punching machine can punch out ant think plastic sheets.

Though the cost of guitar picks must be negligible, this is a useful eco saving trick-eh?

Bunyip-the monster that roamed Australia.

Internet is not an 'all capable' media. Sometimes the Internet too can go poor or indecisive. Come on, before you take the words literally and start negating me, let me tell it is just an opinion formed after I reaped empty when I looked for an authentic image of the Bunyip.

Bunyip had existed long, long ago in Australia when the nation was occupied by the aborigines only and that too when their own language called Wemba-wemba was in use.

Well, the legendary monster called Bunyip is described in various historical books and in the Internet as:
* a giant starfish-like creature,
* having a dog-like face,
* a horse-like tail,
* walrus-like tusks.

I am dazed! I can't visualize! From the images of Bunyip provided by Google, I could not say which one is the real expression of it.

Finally, I located an Australian postal stamp bearing the image of Bunyip.
Here it is, the Bunyip.

Blood drinking monkey?

When it comes to ancient tales and folklore, I think I would rate Japanese folklore second and the first rank goes of course to Indian mythological stories.

I met a Japanese lady once who recounted fantastic information about Japanese folklore and all the supernatural beings that are bizarre and unheard of.

Of the myriad creatures mentioned in the Japanese folklore, Kappa (see image) deserves another look. Kappa is believed to be a water spirit. It is also known as water monkey.

The ancient Japanese believed that the Kappa had a sort of water storage pouch in its head. Its contradictory eating habits are:
* It loves to drink blood
* It likes to eat cucumber

Actos victims approach Watts Guerra Craft LLP.

Don’t you think the spouse of a diabetic patient knows more about diabetes than the patient? At least I would assume that I have a better knowledge about coping with diabetic patient than my husband who has contracted this malady 11 years before.

Nevertheless, my pride took a beating when I came to know about actos cancer attorneys rather lately though the news is at least two years old. In America and also in a few European countries, Actos was the popular anti-diabetic medicine.

Concealed toilet comes out of the earth.

A Facebook contact of mine who lives in London inquired whether I can take her around Madras when comes during Christmas holidays. I wonder why would anyone want to leave their home town during the Christmas period. However, it is her choice. I replied I would but can't accompany her after 7.00 PM.

She then asked a strange question. "Why Malathy, are you not comfortable using one of those pop-up toilets that are up during night time?".

I told her there are no such things in Madras to which she seemed bewildered. London city is equipped with underground toilets that are popped up for the use by public only during night.

I searched Youtube and found one old video clip that showed how the concealed toilet comes out of the earth slowly. What an invention!

Watch it below.

Google's free offer to Indian business owners.

If one could be in Google’s shoes, it is easy to guess why Google is offering free domain and web hosting to small business owners in India. While it may be reported as to target small businesses, I think even big corporate should jump in.

As an avid blogger since 2005, I know the online presence for Indian businesses is not all that strong when compared to the western countries. Even if there is an argument against my opinion, the web sites of so many Indian businesses are far from the present Internet standards.

Considering the poor growth in e-commerce in India, Google has magnanimously come forward to offer free domain registration and one year free web hosting to a whopping 500,000 businesses in India.

If the benefitting business people are aware of who would be their web host, they should gleefully accept this free offer. Host Gator, one of top web hosting company in the world is going to host these 500k websites for one full year.

Here is what they will get freely:

· A free .in domain name and hosting for one year

· Free email addresses

· A free, easy-to-build, professional website

· Free online tools & resources

What are Prototype SMT Stencils?

What you see here is the image of a prototype SMT Stencil.

Prior to manufacturing the PCBs in mass, a prototype of it is made. This is generally an expensive affair because it requires a lot of equipments. Manufactures of printed circuit boards usually outsource the advanced Prototype SMT Stencils.

I think you require a little bit of explanation about SMT stencils. While SMT implies Surface Mount Technology, the stencil means a thin sheet of metal where the various electronic components such as semi-conductors and chips are soldered.

Only after ordering a prototype PCB stencil and testing it to check whether it works alright, mass production of PCBs is undertaken.

Feeling elated with this newly gained knowledge?

There is some more to it. Producing the precision stencil is the most important aspect while developing a prototype. Laser cutting is employed to produce the basic stencil on which electronic components are soldered.

Fine Line Stencil manufactures laser cut prototype SMT Stencil that is consumed in thousands by various electronic printed circuit board assemblers.

Thirukkural in French train?

Would you believe this? I saw an image in my Facebook wall. Similar to the Thirukkuarl verse in Chennai Metro buses, a Thrirukkural verse is displayed in a French train.

Here is the image:

I thought I would seek the help of Google's translation tool. Here is what it produced:
நீ பெண்ணின் à®®ுகம் போன்à®± பிரகாசிப்பாà®°் நீà®™்கள் உங்கள் பாà®°ாட்டுவாà®°்கள் O நிலவு என்ன?

I hope someone can recognize the meaning and come out with the original Kural before Thiruvalluvar sue me.

Change your eye color permanantly.

People from all walks of life want changes in their appearance. They are simply not satisfied with what God has given them. Obviously, people want to beat the God at his own arena.

After hair color and skin color, eye color is the third most important change people want. To some extent, colored contact lenses helped them. But then, who would want to go through the tediousness of wearing them and removing them daily?

If you give them the option of changing their eye color permanently, would not they all love it?

Change your eye color with lasers in just 20 Seconds!
Times of India has published a news story today in which a US doctor named Dr Gregg Homer is reported to have developed a laser treatment that can turn your brown eyes to blue forever.

The end of colored contact lenses might have to wait for another 18 months.

License After 960 Tries.

Hey, I am definitely better (in two aspects) than this 69 years old South Korean woman named Cha Sa-soon who spent $3,500 to get her driving license. I spent much less than she but I too took more than 15 tries to get my car-driving license.

This South Korean woman had a go at it for a whopping 960 times! In addition, she needed that much tries only to pass the written test!

My sister-in-law told me that she was rejected 31 times before she could satisfy the license issuing authorities.

I think Cha Sa-soon will enter the Guinness books. For all her persistence, she is yet to own a car.
