80 beauty schools managed by one beauty institute.

The smile on the face of the woman indicates that she is happy to be attended by the student of Nashville beauty school, one of the 80 schools of Regency Beauty Institute that started its operation way back 1960. It all began in Minnesota 50 years ago. Now, being the fastest growing beauty school, Regency Beauty Institute has setup campuses in 80 locations across the United States covering 19 states.

Getting back to image above, it seems Hayes Batson, Regency’s president and CEO has kept up his promise of bringing unique approach to cosmetology education. The in-campus beauty salons are actually the practical work stations for the students of Regency Beauty. Under watchful eyes of the faculty, students provide discounted beautifying services to the customers.

It is a win-win deal for both the customers as they are assured of top class makeup service at discounted rates and the students get hands on training.

Stunningly realistic sculptures.

These sculptures are amazingly realistic-right?

The sculptor's name is James Croak. He lives in New York. Can you guess the material the sculptor has used to create the fantastic figures?

They are made of dirt-yes, just dirt under our feet.

I have seen great art work like these; sculptures made of myriad items like match sticks, ball pins, feathers, pieces of broken glass and so on.

Even now, one can see amazing sculptures made of beach sand in beaches at Madras by kids less than 10 years of age.

James Croak has his own website at http://www.jamescroak.com

Wedding rings you have never seen before.

These are uniquely designed wedding rings that depicts some of the harsh realities of marriage.

We know that not all marriages workout to the fullest expectations of both the parties involved. After the initial euphoria wears out, men and women start feeling the weight of bondage and commitments ultimately leading to separation in several cases.

These three wedding rings represent three different states of mind for the couples.
* The first is a butterfly representing romance and freedom.
* The next ring is a cage and you know hat it implies.
* The third ring is a pair of pliers indicating broken relationship.

A strange sea foam in Sydney.

The scene above certainly does not look appealing, however the phenomenon was rare and bizarre.

What you see above is froth at a beach in Sydney in 2007. Yes, it is a very old story that caught my attention only yesterday.

The sea of foam was due to impurities in the ocean, such as salts, chemicals, dead plants, decomposed fish and excretions from seaweed. The foam even entered a few buildings near the beach. Yes, you can see that image in the source of this story.

The whole scene looks ugly as well as eerie!

Put a stop to tree torture.

My husband is an ardent tree lover. He hates the so called 'garden art' where bushes and trees were cut severely to make a meaningful shape out of them.

People prune trees and plants believing that this will enhance their growth. This is a cruel thought as per my husband. Men, in order to satisfy their seemingly artistic skills, interfere in the natural growth of plants by being barbaric. Men treat plants and trees as if they have no life on their own and can be subjected to the whims and fancies of this artificial world.

My husband will never buy a bonzai tree; says it is brutally twisted and made to appear old artificially.

There is this Chinese bonzai artist named Shen Shaomin who was recently featured in several internet magazines. It is reported that Shen used to put a live plant into cage-like metal structures to restrict its growth. In this process, Shen employed a collection of antique-looking metal tools used to distort the plants.

Naturalists say that trees undergo excruciating pain when their branches are twisted. It is so very true! After all how do we feel when our arms are twisted by sadist who wants to see how a man will look with a twisted arm.

This tree torture is now hotly reported and debated in the Internet.
